Three Sisters, Tongaporutu
The Three Sisters are a set of sandstone sea stacks on the beach near Tongaporutu, formed by the same ongoing coastal erosion process that shapes nearby Elephant Rock, and similarly only reachable and viewable at low tide. Like most of this soft-sandstone coastline, the formations continue to erode and change shape over time, so what's visible today may look different in years to come.
It's usually visited together with Elephant Rock on the same stretch of beach, making a single low-tide outing worthwhile for both.
