Hours: Monday-Saturday roughly 8:00-18:00, Sunday 10:00-16:00 in summer, contracting off-season.
Vanha Kauppahalli, opened 1889, is Helsinki's oldest indoor market hall — small stalls selling fish, cheese, reindeer products and baked goods, patronized as much by locals as visitors, with more warmth than the open-air square outside.
A good stop for a quality lunch or Finnish food to take home, less overtly touristy than the market square just outside.
