Harder Kulm is the closest mountain viewpoint to Interlaken itself, reached by a funicular that starts practically in town, climbing to just over 1,300 meters. The summit's main feature is a two-pronged viewing platform extending out over the cliff edge, giving a striking bird's-eye view down onto Interlaken sitting in the narrow strip of land between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, with the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau visible beyond.

Because it's so close and quick to reach, it's the natural choice for visitors with limited time or budget who still want a proper Bernese Oberland panorama, even though the summit itself is lower and the view less dramatic close-up than Schilthorn or Jungfraujoch.
