Odori Park
Odori Park is a long, narrow green space running through the center of Sapporo, serving as the city's main gathering point for festivals throughout the year, most famously the Sapporo Snow Festival each February, when massive snow and ice sculptures line the park. Outside festival season, it's a pleasant strip of lawns, flower beds, and fountains flanked by the Sapporo TV Tower at its eastern end.
It's central enough to pass through naturally while exploring the rest of downtown Sapporo, and various food and beer festivals are also held here in summer.
