Yoshikien
Yoshikien is a garden of three distinct sections — a pond garden, a moss garden, and a tea ceremony flower garden — built on the former site of a temple's monks' quarters, offering a quieter and less visited alternative right next to the more famous Isuien garden. Its moss garden in particular is a calm, shaded space distinct from Isuien's more open pond views.
Uniquely, admission is free for overseas visitors on presentation of a passport (a policy meant to encourage international tourism), making it an easy add-on next to Isuien for travelers who qualify.
