Uluwatu

Balangan Beach: Balangan is a long, white-sand beach on the Bukit Peninsula backed by limestone cliffs, known primarily for a consistent left-hand reef break that draws surfers year-round, alongside a scattering of clifftop warungs serving fresh seafood with ocean views. It's less developed than Bingin or Uluwatu's other surf beaches, retaining more of an old-Bali beach-shack feel even as the surrounding Bukit Peninsula has built up considerably. The beach itself narrows dramatically at high tide, sometimes vanishing against the cliff base entirely, so timing a visit around low tide makes a real difference to how much usable sand is actually there.

Bingin Beach: Bingin is a small cove beach tucked beneath the Bukit Peninsula's cliffs, reached by a steep staircase down from clifftop warungs and guesthouses — a genuinely dramatic approach that sets the tone for one of Bali's more scenic surf beaches. The reef break here is well-regarded among experienced surfers, while the beach itself, though small and tide-dependent, has a laid-back, backpacker-surf-camp character distinct from the beach-club energy of Canggu or Seminyak. The clifftop warungs and cafes overlooking the cove are as much a reason to visit as the beach itself, offering some of the Bukit Peninsula's best sunset views over the water.
