The Rocks is Sydney's oldest colonial settlement area, with narrow cobbled streets, sandstone warehouses, and some of the city's oldest surviving pubs, sitting right at the base of the Harbour Bridge near Circular Quay. It's been substantially gentrified into a tourist-oriented dining, shopping, and market precinct, but the historic bones and layout are genuine.
