Brisbane's steel cantilever bridge, opened in 1940, is a city landmark you can either just walk across for free or climb as a guided adventure experience up over the top of the structure, similar in concept to Sydney's Harbour Bridge climb but smaller in scale. The climb gives 360-degree views over the CBD, river, and out to Moreton Bay.

It sits right above Howard Smith Wharves, so a climb (or just admiring the bridge) pairs naturally with a meal or drink at the wharves below.
