Queensland Art Gallery
The older and more traditional of Brisbane's two major state galleries, Queensland Art Gallery holds Australian and international historical and 19th–20th century collections, in contrast to GOMA's contemporary focus next door. It's a quieter, more classically laid-out gallery experience.
Given its location right beside GOMA on South Bank, most visitors do both galleries in the same visit, along with the broader South Bank precinct.
