Risco is one of Madeira's tallest waterfalls, reached via a short, mostly flat levada walk from the Rabaçal car park through laurel forest — one of the easier and shorter walks in the area, taking around 30-40 minutes each way. The falls themselves drop dramatically down a sheer rock face, though water volume varies a lot by season and rainfall, with the most impressive flow after winter rains.

It's often combined with the 25 Fontes trail since both start from the same Rabaçal area, letting visitors do two of Madeira's best-known levada walks in a single outing.
