Rubjerg Knude is a decommissioned lighthouse being slowly swallowed by a migrating sand dune, and in 2019 it was physically relocated further inland to delay its collapse into the sea. The moved lighthouse and the shifting dune landscape around it make for one of the more visually distinctive sights on the Jutland coast — closer to a natural phenomenon than a conventional lighthouse visit.

It's a worthwhile detour if you're already exploring northern Jutland, combining well with a beach walk and, further along, Grenen or Skagen.
