Pommern

Getting around: Docked in Mariehamn's western harbor, an easy walk from the town center.
Hours: Daily roughly 10:00-17:00 in summer; reduced hours in winter.

Pommern is a preserved four-masted steel barque built in 1903, one of the last surviving commercial sailing ships that made Aland a maritime power, now permanently moored as a museum ship. Visitors can walk the deck and cramped crew quarters below.

It pairs naturally with the adjacent Maritime Museum, and is one of Mariehamn's defining landmarks.
