Marine Parade, Napier
Marine Parade is Napier's grand seafront promenade, lined with Norfolk pines, memorial gardens, sculptures (including the famous Pania of the Reef statue), a sound shell, mini-golf, and the National Aquarium. It's the natural spine for exploring the city on foot, tying together several of Napier's attractions along one stretch of waterfront.
It's pleasant for a walk or cycle at any time of day, and especially popular at sunset given its east-facing position over Hawke Bay for sunrise, or simply for evening strolls.
