Konyaaltı Beach
Konyaaltı is Antalya's main city beach, a long pebbly stretch running for several kilometers along the western edge of town, backed dramatically by the Beydağları mountains rising straight out of the coastline. It's the more organized, amenity-heavy of Antalya's two big beaches (as opposed to the sandier Lara Beach on the other side of the city), with a long promenade behind it lined with cafés, restaurants, and beach clubs, plus sunbed and umbrella rental along most of its length. The pebbles mean water shoes are worth bringing, but they also keep the sea remarkably clear. Being right in the city, it's an easy add-on to a day of sightseeing in Antalya rather than requiring a separate excursion, and the mountain backdrop — genuinely one of the more striking coastal views in Turkey — makes it worth a stop even for visitors who aren't planning to swim.
