Fløibanen
Fløibanen is the funicular that hauls visitors up Mount Fløyen in about 8 minutes, sparing everyone the steep hike for those who'd rather spend their time at the top. It's one of Bergen's most-used attractions precisely because it's fast, frequent, and delivers a genuinely good payoff - panoramic views over the city, harbour, and surrounding mountains.
Queues can be long in peak summer, especially midday, so an early or late ride avoids the worst of it; tickets can also be bought online in advance to skip part of the line.
