Christ Church is one of the oldest churches in North India, built in the mid-19th century in a Neo-Gothic style, and it remains a prominent landmark on Shimla's central Ridge, easily visible from much of the town given its elevated, central position. Its stained glass windows depict Christian virtues and were designed by a Bengal art school under John Lockwood Kipling (father of Rudyard Kipling).

It's a quick, easy stop given its central location, and its yellow-and-white facade against the Ridge's open square makes it one of Shimla's most photographed buildings, especially with the Himalayan backdrop on a clear day.
