Chowmahalla Palace
Chowmahalla Palace was the seat of the Nizams of Hyderabad, the former rulers of the princely state, built across the 18th and 19th centuries and comprising four main palaces (chowmahalla means "four palaces") arranged around courtyards and fountains. The Khilwat Mubarak, the grand durbar hall where the Nizams held court, is the architectural centerpiece, with a spectacular chandelier collection.
Beyond the halls, the palace displays royal vintage cars, clothing, and artifacts from the Nizam era, giving a fuller picture of Hyderabad's princely history than Charminar's more purely architectural presence. It's a well-preserved, relatively uncrowded site given its historical significance.
