Chaplin's World
Chaplin's World occupies the Manoir de Ban, the estate where Charlie Chaplin lived with his family for the last 25 years of his life after leaving the United States amid political controversy in the early 1950s. The site combines the preserved manor house, furnished as the family lived in it, with a separate modern studio building housing wax figures, sets and interactive exhibits recreating scenes from his films.
It's a substantial, well-produced museum rather than a quick stop — worth planning several hours for, and a good complement to the Olympic Museum if you're spending a couple of days around Lake Geneva looking for museum-scale attractions beyond the outdoor and lakefront sights.
