Wairēinga / Bridal Veil Falls
Wairēinga / Bridal Veil Falls is a 55-metre single-drop waterfall on the Pakoka River, reached via a short native-bush walk to an upper viewing platform, with a longer, steeper track continuing down to the base of the falls for a different, more dramatic perspective. The upper viewpoint is enough for most casual visitors; the descent to the base adds real elevation change and is worth it if you have the time and fitness.
It's a worthwhile stop on the way to or from Raglan, a scenic drive in its own right through Waikato farmland and bush.
